Team USA Cheer & Dance – How to Tryout!
Think you have what it takes to represent your country at the highest level of competition? If your answer is yes, then you need try out for Team USA!
There are five different teams you can try out for; Coed Team, All Girl Team, Dance Team, and All Girl and Coed Group Partner Stunt.
Here is the breakdown of how to try out for each one!
To try out you must fill out an online application by January 6, 2014. Tryouts will take place in Orlando, FL on January 20, 2014. Tryouts will start at 9:00am, with doors opening at 8:30 for registration. Make sure you bring your top stunting and tumbling skills to the tryouts! The 2014 Coed Team will be announced around noon.
All Girl Team
To try out you must fill out an online application by January 6, 2014. Tryouts will take place in Orlando, FL on January 20, 2014. Tryouts will start at 9:00 am, with doors opening at 8:30 for registration. All Girl applicants must try out in a stunt group of 4. The 2014 All Girl Team will be announced around noon.
Dance Teams needs to create a video audition and submit it by January 24, 2014. Those teams will then be evaluated by the USA Cheer Selection Committee, who will then pick the final teams.
Selection is based on the group that will best represent in the US. Teams can try out for as many categories as they would like. Categories include Jazz, Hip Hop and Pom.
Partner Stunt Groups (All Girl and Coed) – New this year
Participants wanting to try out for the Coed or All Girl Partner Stunt division must submit a video to Elizabeth@usacheer.net by December 16, 2013. An online application is due December 2, 2013. America will then select the top three teams for the Coed and All Girl groups. Once the top three have been selected, USA Cheer judges will select the winner.
- Anyone tryout out for Team USA Cheer or Dance must be 18 years or older. *Note: there is a $50 application fee to tryout.
