CHEER TEAM DETAILS

Coed Team: Currently 11 men and 11 women; cheers home and away football games, men's and women's basketball games; 16 will compete at UCA Nationals.

All Girl Team: Currently 40 women; cheers home football games, volleyball games, men's and women's basketball games; 20 will compete at UCA Nationals.

DANCE TEAM DETAILS

Dance Team: Currently 34 dancers; appears at home football games and men's and women's basketball games; 20 of them will compete at UDA Nationals.

MASCOT TEAM DETAILS

Mascots: 8 members; sworn to anonymity until graduation. Appears at all football games, all men's and women's basketball games (including post season); appears at at least one game for every sport that has at home games; multiple community service, Rutgers community and marketing events.

Scholarships Offered: Yes

Cheer Scholarship Details: Small discretionary scholarships based on seniority

Dance Scholarship Details: Small discretionary scholarships based on seniority

Mascot Scholarship Details: No scholarships are available, but they are paid to appear at many of the marketing events.

TRYOUT INFORMATION

CHEER:

Clinic & Tryout Dates: Clinics are Aug. 21-23, 2018; Fall 2018; Spring 2019. Tryouts are in April 2019.

Tryout Requirements:

Coed Team: Standing tuck (minimum), running pass w/ a tuck (minimum), coed partner stunting (one base, one flyer)

All Girl Team: Standing tuck (minimum), running pass w/ a tuck (minimum), all girl partner stunting (one main base, one side base, one backspot, one flyer)

DANCE:

Clinic & Tryout Dates: Clinics are Aug. 21-23, 2018; Fall 2018; Spring 2019. Tryouts are in April 2019.

Audition Requirements: 

Pirouettes (triple minimum, quad preferred for competition); a la seconde turns, right aerial, toe touch, leg extension skills

Competition Involvement: All spirit squads compete at the UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship in Orlando, FL.
