ORLANDO, Fla. — Veteran Varsity Spirit Fashion model Chris Fox took the runway in the 2017 Varsity Spirit Fashion Show at the World Showplace at Walt Disney World Resort on Monday night. The fashion show is one of the most exciting events heading into the new year as teams look at the newest trends before they hit the sidelines. And a lucky few cheerleaders and dancers got to rock the latest apparel on the runway. We asked Fox what it was like to be a Varsity Spirit Fashion Model.

Why did you apply to be a VSF model?
A friend of a friend suggested that I applied. I’m very happy that I took their advice. It’s been an incredible experience.

What was the VSF modeling experience like?
I started modeling for Varsity my junior year. I did some photo shoots in Dallas and walked in the fashion show that year as well. My senior year I did more photo shoots and fittings for the design team and later down the road was presented with the opportunity to walk in the 2017 show!

Why is it special to be chosen for this?
Varsity is the leading company in cheer and dance apparel, and it’s awesome that I have been chosen to be a part of promoting their brand. I love that I still get to be involved in cheerleading through this experience. Lastly, my favorite part is all the people that work with the fashion show (cameramen, hair stylists, makeup artists, chaperones, other models, ect.). They’re all super nice and fun to work with.
