It’s time to put this summer to the test!

This summer at #NDAcamp you learned about becoming your best self, for you and your teammates. Now it is time to put the new you to the test! Here are 3 tips on how to take what you learned at camp and apply it to the school year:

See a sticky note, share a sticky note.
While at camp you spent time recognizing good qualities in those you work closely with. Bring these words of encouragement to the classroom by writing a sticky note to a classmate that has standout character traits you admire. Showing appreciation can go a long way when it comes to working with others!

It all starts with trust.
Being a trustworthy teammate and friend requires consistent effort. As a role model in school, it is important to be a good communicator and take responsibility for your own actions. Leading by example during a group project or at practice is the best way to instill others’ trust in you.

Know you can.
Confidence is key in any situation. Whether you are giving a presentation or teaching your team a routine, modeling confidence and remaining calm during a stressful time is the best way to show others that they can do the same. Be sure to use positive words and stay motivated, even when things get tough.

Tests don’t always have to be on paper. Putting these tips to the test in the classroom and and in your personal life will guarantee A+ results.
