Teamwork, Dedication, Confidence, Leadership – this is The Varsity All Star Pinnacle Award.

The Varsity All Star Pinnacle Award was created to recognize athletes that exemplify exceptional leadership qualities and dedication to all star. This award is based on the four characteristics of #AllStarStrong Teamwork, Dedication, Confidence, and Leadership. Pinnacle Athletes are leaders, encouragers, and always strive to put the team before themselves. This year, Varsity All Star opened up Pinnacle nominations to gym owners, coaches, and Varsity employees to recognize extraordinary individuals in the all star cheer and dance community.

This season, The 2025 Pinnacle Award was awarded to one athlete at each of The Summit Championships, including The Summit, The Dance Summit & The D2 Summit.

The Summit

Stan Cottom – Crush Cheer

Stan’s started cheer by being the only male cheerleader on his school team, where he proudly earned the title of Cheerleader of the Year. In his first season of all star cheerleading, he joined Crush Cheer’s Senior Prep Level 1 team and immediately stood out for his talent and drive.

Going above and beyond, Stan travels over an hour each way for extra training at another Crush Cheer location. His dedication didn’t go unnoticed—Coach Danuta nominated him for Team England trials, where he earned a coveted spot on the Youth Coed team, making him the first athlete from Crush Cheer to represent the nation internationally.

Now in just his second season of all star cheer, Stan competes on Crush Cheer’s U16 Level 1 Summit team and serves as the Team Captain for the U16 Level 3 Knockouts. He travels more than four hours weekly for team training while balancing national team duties, multiple practices, and academic excellence—recently being accepted into an elite Oxbridge academic program.

Last season, Stan was named Crush Cheer’s Athlete of the Year for his humility, leadership, and fierce competitive spirit. He is known for uplifting those around him and leading by example.

Charlotte balances her dance schedule with an equally demanding academic workload. Her positive energy is infectious, consistently lifting the spirits of those around her and setting the tone for her team.

Under her leadership, her teams have earned more than 30 National Championships and 7 Dance Summit Championship titles, remarkable achievements that speak just as much to her character and consistency as they do to her talent. She brings excitement, drive, and heart to every practice and performance, always pushing herself and her teammates to be their best.

Charlotte has made a lasting impact on her program. She’s the kind of dancer who lifts up her whole team and inspires everyone around her.

Alexa Wilson – Ohio Valley All Stars

Alexa has been a dedicated athlete at OVA for 11 years, fully embodying what it means to be All Star Strong. Currently cheering on two All Star teams while serving as a junior coach for three club teams, Alexa leads both by example and with heart.

Two years ago, she founded Cheerleaders for Charity, a service initiative she launched at OVA to give back to the community she loves. Since then, she has organized impactful projects including donation drives for veterans, a water station for the Parkersburg Half Marathon, Valentine’s cards and gifts for nursing home residents, and winter essentials for House to Home. Her efforts have touched countless lives and inspired her teammates to join in service.

In addition to her All Star commitments, Alexa is a varsity high school cheerleader, senior class secretary, and an active member of Student Council and National Honor Society. She excels academically and will graduate with honors.
