The All Star Patriots Take On The U.S. Finals Kansas City!

The U.S. Finals Kansas City is under way and the All Star Patriots Odyssey is ready to take on the competition! The program is bringing seven teams, all ranging from Mini Level 1 to Senior Level 3.

Head Coach, Stephanie Magruder says the goal for this weekend is to perform the way they have since the beginning of the season. “They are ready to take the mat with their team,” said Magruder. “And the trust they have in each other is amazing.”

“They know that for two and a half minutes, that is all they have to perform and execute their routine and to give it all they have. Each of them always leave it on the mat every time, and that is all I can ask of them.”

For the Level 3 Senior team, Odyssey, the athletes and coaches have been heavily focusing on the execution of their routine. Coach Magruder says multiple hours of drilling and cleaning have been put into the routine.

“Odyssey is a group that calls each other sisters, and that truly is the best way to describe this group.” – Stephanie Magruder

“Their energy and their execution is a strong point for Odyssey!” Said Magruder. “We also utilize every second of the routine to highlight many different skills, especially tumbling!”

The coaches want to push the team for difficulty while also maintaining their technique scores. “The main stunt is beautiful as we have amazingly flexibility in flyers and strong bases underneath!” Said Magruder. 

Coach Magruder says The U.S. Finals is a great way to close out their season. “With bringing all our elite teams, we are excited to show Kansas City the Patriot Family!”
