At summer camp rookies are welcomed to their teams, and alumni come out and support their former squads. College teams especially, feel the support of their alumni when they visit camp to cheer them on.

The University of North Texas had the support of former Mean Green cheerleader, Justin Carrier who is now the NCA Vice President of Events and Championships. Carrier cheered for UNT 1995-99 and was on the first team in the school’s history to compete at NCA College Nationals. 1999-2000 Carrier even coached the team.
