Go Be Great at NCA All-Star Nationals

Go Be Great is a call to action, it’s a movement – it’s a reminder that every one of us is created for greatness.

At NCA All-Star Nationals we are eager to recognize teams and programs that use their gifts, talents, time and opportunities to make a difference in the world by recognizing them with the #GoBeGreat Award. NCA partners with the Go Be Great foundation in order to encourage and celebrate difference makers, overcomers, perseverance, kindness, selflessness, acts of service, and those that share their gifts, talents and opportunity with others. This movement has become a trademark of the NCA brand and we are so thankful for the athletes and coaches who have taken the challenge to #GoBeGreat in their gyms and local communities.

This year at NCA All-Star Nationals we have 14 #GoBeGreat finalists representing 9 different states from all over the country. These programs will be recognized throughout the weekend at various award ceremonies. Congratulations to our 14 finalists:

  • Texas Empire – Angleton, TX
  • Woflpack – Charleston, SC
  • Cheer Florida All Stars – Coconut Creek, FL
  • North Dakota Elite – Fargo, ND
  • Arizona Element Elite – Glendale, AZ
  • Liberty All Stars – Jersey City, NJ
  • LA Dream All Stars – Los Angeles, CA
  • Horizons All Stars – Mauriceville, TX
  • Texas Cheer Force Elite – Mercedes, TX
  • Candy Elite All Stars – Newark, NJ
  • Five Star Athletics – Reno, NV
  • Club Cheer Jaguars – San Antonio, TX
  • Oklahoma Cheer Explosion – Seminole, OK
  • CAT Academy – Torrance, CA

Combined, these programs have raised over $15,000 in support of local charities, hospitals and organizations, made over 400 meals for the Salvation Army, provided Christmas gifts to 15 families and 50 foster children, along with countless donations of pillows, backpacks, school supplies and toys for underprivileged children and homeless in their area.

The commitment to serving others goes beyond tangible items as these cheerleaders give up their time and talents to rally behind causes that are close to home. These activities range anywhere from writing Valentine’s for local Veterans to spending time mentoring and coaching CHEERabilities athletes, serving meals at local food banks and visiting nursing homes to put a smile on the faces of the elderly.

Founder of the #GoBeGreat foundation, Julie Norton Jackson, stated that, “It is thrilling to see talented athletes pay it forward and serve others.  To see young people recognizing the blessing of volunteerism and service is encouraging.  To see the powerful mark they are making in the landscape of all-star cheerleading is a true legacy.

We are encouraged by the servant hearts of the all-star community and we cannot wait to see the greatness that is still to come. Stay tuned to discover who will take home the #GoBeGreat award this year at the 2020 NCA All-Star National Championship.
