The UCA & UDA College Spirit Camp at the University of Texas kicks off July 12 at 12:45 PM CT! Watch the demos, then tune back in to watch the university dance teams' home routines LIVE at 6 PM CT.

Dance teams head to camp every summer to learn new routines for their fans. But it wouldn't be dance camp if teams didn't bring their own unique styles!

It's a longstanding tradition at UDA College Spirit Camp that the dancers have an option to bring their own routines from home to show off to the camp, coaches, and staff. The staff evaluates the unique performances on the first night and award ribbons for the overall performance of their home routine.

The UDA instructors are looking for creative choreography and execution, and a few of the categories they evaluate include team synchronization, dance movement and skills, technical execution, spacing, formations, and overall performance.

Squads will test their skills and hone in on new ones as they attend camp for the rest of the week at UT. It will all come full-circle on the final day of camp as the teams assemble for the announcement of awards and the moment they've all been waiting for: home routine placement!

Good luck, to the home routine competitors:

  • University of Texas
  • Louisiana Tech University
  • Texas A&M Corpus Christi
  • Trinity Valley Community College
  • Southeastern Louisiana University

Watch LIVE as teams attending the UCA & UDA College Spirit Camp at the University of Texas show off their home routines on July 12 at approximately 6 PM CT!
