CJA Prepares To Take On One Up Nationals

One Up Nationals returns to Nashville, Tennessee this weekend after being held in Atlanta, Georgia for the past three years.

The event will be packed with talented teams from across the U.S. ready to showcase their routines one last time and claim the last final bids before heading into the end of season championship events.

One program to watch at One Up is Central Jersey Allstars. CJA attended One Up Nationals back in 2015 and claimed 5 national championship titles at the event. They are returning to the championship this weekend with 10 teams ready show off that classic “CJA Clean” style.

The northeast program pride’s themselves on creating athletic and entertaining routines all while staying true to that classic style they have built over the years.

This season, CJA really focused on having fun with their routines by adding in small pops of flare within their choreography to keep the routines entertaining. One aspect of their routines that is constant throughout the program are the creative transitional skills that they have incorporated in and out of their stunt sequences.

Two CJA teams that should be on your must-watch list weekend are Team Gunz and Bombshells.

Team Gunz is CJA’s Senior Small Coed Level 5 team who is always a crowd favorite to watch. The athletes on Team Gunz love to perform their elite stunt section because it shows off their creativity, technique and difficulty.

Team Gunz earned third at The Cheerleading Worlds 2018 and One Up will be their last competition before heading back to Orlando to try and repeat their success at the championship.

CJA’s Senior XSmall Level 5 team, Bombshells has been dominating their division this season and recently won their first-ever NCA Championship title making them a strong division front runner heading in to Worlds.

Gym Owner Patty Ann Romero is most proud of Bombshells ability to go from having one standing full in 2018 to having 8 standing fulls this season!
