Cheer Team Details: 

The Alma College Cheer team participates in traditional sideline cheer, STUNT, and NCA Competitive Cheer.

Here at Alma College, we are an official varsity sport.  This title means that we have all of the same privileges as the other collegiate athletic teams.  Some of these perks include a full-time athletic trainer, a strength/conditioning coach, and a full-time head coach.  We are fully funded which mean that it costs you nothing to cheer at Alma College.  Last but most exciting, we have our own cheer facility which was created solely for the use of our team!

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Scholarships Offered: Yes

Cheer Scholarship Details: Up to $1500/year cheer scholarship stackable with academic and need-based aid. Must complete skill eval and except offer by December 1st of recruiting year.

TRYOUT INFORMATION

CHEER:

Clinic & Tryout Dates: Recruiting year round

Tryout Requirements:

• Tumbling – Standing tuck, Layout, Strong technique
• Stunting – Strong technique (coachability, strength)
• Jumps – Level to inverted (toe touch, pike, hurdler, herkie)

We prefer athletes who are strong in all areas but will look at athletes who excel in one area if they can benefit the team. 

Competition Involvement: Alma College participates in STUNT and NCA competitive cheer.
