2026 DII National School Spirit Champions!

The National School Spirit Championships (NSSC) once again proved that there is more than one path to the top! Across cheer, dance and band programs, the top-finishing schools separated themselves through a combination of competitive excellence. 

Junior High Champions: Station Camp Middle School

Station Camp Middle School claimed the Junior High title by competing across multiple championship opportunities and delivering where it mattered most.

• NHSCC – 245 points (Small Junior High Game Day)
• NDTC – 235 points (Junior High Game Day)
• NSBC – 0 points
• NSSC – 250 points (Junior High Spirit Program Game Day CH/DA)

Total: 730 points

While they did not earn points in band, Station Camp’s strong performances across cheer, dance, and spirit program events were enough to secure the top spot and highlight the value of consistent, multi-event participation. Here's a look at their Junior High Spirit Program Game Day performance: 

High School Champions: Bishop Amat High School

Bishop Amat High School emerged as the overall High School champion by competing in all four championship buckets, while maintaining a high level of achievement throughout.

• NHSCC – 240 points (Small Varsity DII Intermediate)
• NDTC – 245 points (Varsity Intermediate DII Pom)
• NSBC – 125 points (Pep Band Varsity)
• NSSC – 250 points (Varsity Spirit Program Game Day Live CH/DA/BD)

Total: 860 points

By showing up everywhere — and performing at a high level across the board — Bishop Amat created separation at the top. In a tight race, their willingness to compete across all disciplines proved to be the championship difference. Here's a look at their Spirit Program Game Day Live performance:

High School 2nd Place: Teurlings Catholic High School

Teurlings Catholic High School delivered some of the most dominant performances of the weekend, earning perfect 250-point scores in three separate championship events. If elite execution alone decided titles, Teurlings Catholic would have been tough to beat.

• NHSCC – 250 points (Large Varsity DII)
• NDTC – 250 points (Small Varsity Hip Hop DII)
• NSBC – 0 points
• NSSC – 250 points (Large Varsity Spirit Program Game Day CH/DA)

Total: 750 points

With no band entry, Teurlings leaned entirely on excellence. Their consistency at the highest level kept them firmly in second place and ahead of another competitor. Here's a look at their winning Small Varsity Hip Hop performance:

High School 3rd Place: Goodpasture High School

Goodpasture High School rounded out the top three by participating in all four championship buckets, much like the eventual champions. Goodpasture’s commitment to competing across every discipline secured them a top-three finish.

• NHSCC – 125 points (Large Varsity Non-Tumbling DII Game Day)
• NDTC – 225 points (Varsity Intermediate DII Hip Hop)
• NSBC – 125 points (Pep Band Varsity)
• NSSC – 240 points (Varsity Spirit Program Game Day Live CH/DA/BD)

Total: 750 points

Goodpasture’s broad participation kept them competitive and secured a top-three finish, reinforcing how valuable it can be to field multiple programs. Here's a look at their Pep Band performance:

Bishop Amat showed the power of balancing excellence with participation. Teurlings Catholic proved just how far elite performances can carry a program. Goodpasture reinforced the value of depth and showing up across the board.
