Our Commitment

Our products champion the student experience by bringing community spirit to thousands of campuses across the nation through cheer, dance, band and achievement merchandise. We are committed to ensuring that the merchandise we produce and the products we procure from suppliers, support a safe, inclusive and respectful workplace wherever these products are made.

We partner with suppliers that support our commitment to responsible and ethical workplace standards. This commitment is supported by the multidisciplinary measures by which we evaluate our supply partners.  We believe that by implementing these measures we are able to make a positive impact across our supply chain.  We are committed to operating with high ethical standards by respecting human rights, promoting inclusion, upholding equity, and acting with integrity.

"'Fair labor should be the standard, not the exception. That’s why we participate in the Fair Labor Association’s collegiate licensee program.'"

Fair Labor Practices

Social Responsibility

To achieve a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace we strictly adhere to our Workplace Code of Conduct.  The guiding principles on human rights are adopted from the following international frameworks:

  • International Labour Organization (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Human Rights
  • OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Business Conduct (RBC)
  • Fair Labor Association (FLA) Fair Labor Code

These principles reinforce affirmative practices to uphold the ethical treatment of workers and safe workplaces. We respect the rights of workers and expect our supply partners to adhere to all applicable laws and regulations of the country in which workers are employed and uphold our compliance standards outlined in our Workplace Code of Conduct.  We maintain strong due diligence practices to reinforce accountability and we work with suppliers to identify and assess human rights risks to support positive improvements and ensure compliance.  Varsity Spirit is committed to respecting human rights, preventing labor risks and ensuring a positive environmental legacy for future generations.
