Dance Scholarship Details: UIndy Dance does not offer scholarships at this time.

DANCE TEAM INFORMATION

The UIndy Dance Team performs at all home football games, men's and women's basketball games, and other events on and off campus throughout the season. The team attends UDA camp in July and competes at UDA Nationals each January. Dancers practice approximately 5-7.5 hours each week, depending on their performance schedule. Practices include ballet, jazz/pom/hiphop technique and skills, choreography, and team workouts.

TRYOUT INFORMATION

DANCE:

Auditions: Auditions tend to be held towards the end of August. 

Audition Requirements: 

Dancers are expected to arrive to tryouts in all black, form fitting dance clothing with a game day appearance. Dancers may be asked to execute the following skills at tryouts: double & triple pirouettes, a la seconde turns, jete, calypso, toe touch, battemate, and splits.

Competition Involvement: The University of Indianapolis Dance Team competes at the UCA and UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship in January.
