WHAT’S NEW IN 2024:

  • Crazy Night: Celebrate UDA’s Golden Era at this year’s Crazy Night and create everlasting traditions that will follow you through your future season! The UDA Staff are joining you for a Crazy Night filled with team-bonding and memory-making activities! NEW this year UDA is offering Crazy Night at every overnight location.
  • Game Day Stations: This year UDA has elevated the game day curriculum with two different classes that are closely connected to UCA. The first class is a brand-new class, Game Day Stations. Coaches can send athletes to a 20-minute station that works on a specific part of game day. Part two is a 45-minute class where coaches can split athletes up to learn any of the four band dances that UDA offers. Our Pom sideline again will correlate with UCA and coaches will also be provided with the sheet music to bring back to their band.
  • Link Up Seminars: These are educational classes to help athletes on and off the performance floor. Two out of our four classes are band new and this year we will also have a Link Up Seminar for coaches!
  • Intermediate Skill Focused Routines: UDA has always offered levels 1 – 5 in our routines. New this year our level’s 1 and 2 routines will follow the intermediate skill restrictions.
  • Tech Connect – This technique class was new to the UDA curriculum last year and is back with more focus on performance while executing skills. In this class, coaches can send athletes to a 30-minute station to work on a specific skill. Athletes will spend the first half of the class working on drills to help build the foundations to execute the skill. The second half is to focus on connecting the skill with choreography and performance.
  • Coaches Education: Coaches education is a big focus this year for UDA. NEW this year all overnight camps will offer Connected Coaches Classes. This is a three-part series that will start with our coaches completing a self-reflection that will be tied to two coaches’ classes discussing daily habits. These coaches’ educational classes will relate to what the athletes are doing throughout camp and allow the coaches to connect with their team on a deeper level.
