Virtual Competition Information

We are excited to be able to offer Virtual Divisions at the 2021 UCA/UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship for those teams who are unable to join us in Orlando. To learn how to register, click HERE!

Deadline to register for the virtual competition is April 6th.

Virtual College Nationals Information

We know that there are a variety of situations for teams and want to be able to accommodate as many of them as we can. Teams wishing to compete in the UCA/UDA College Virtual National Championship Divisions must have pre-approval to participate and be eligible to compete. All teams must submit a letter on university/school letterhead from your administrator why you are unable to attend the championship in person. Please submit all letters to College@varsity.com. Once you submit your letter, you will receive an email back and if approved it will include the link to register for the Virtual Divisions.

PRICING

The Virtual Competition will be $100 per person for the first two performances. For those teams participating in both the performance divisions and virtual Game Day Competition, it will be an additional $30 per participant if Game Day is the third performance.

VIRTUAL DIVISIONS

All Divisions will be guaranteed a Semi-Final and Final round of competition. 50% of the actual number of teams competing will advance from Semi-Finals to Finals. Once the finalists are announced, score sheets and rankings will be emailed out. Teams who advance to Finals will have the option to record a new routine and upload, or they can upload the same video they used for Semi-Finals. If teams choose to record again, the coach will again need to use the college template in the new recording as well.

FILMING, TEMPLATE & ROSTER INFORMATION

We’ve created a step-by-step PDF guide, HERE with filming requirements and tips. All teams must submit an official team roster along with release waivers for each athlete competing prior to receiving the college template for the video. The coach will be required to hold up the college template at the beginning of their routine to verify the Team Name, Divisions, Athletes and Date Filmed. The routine can be recorded any time after you receive the college template. You do not have to have a keyword for your video.

NEW - Bid Information

For the 2021 Championship ONLY, we will not require teams to attend a 2020 UDA College Spirit Camp of any kind in order to validate their bid that they received from their 2020 placement. This applies to Tier I, II, and III bids.

NEW - Spirit Tape Update

  • Spirit Tapes will not be required for Dance teams, everyone will be given the points for 2021 Championship ONLY.
  • Mascots will be asked to submit a modified entry tape because their videos determine who is invited to compete at the championship. More information coming soon.

Terms & Conditions / Required Forms

Team Forms must be completed and scanned/emailed to Savannah London, slondon@varsity.com no later than 3 weeks prior to the event. Coaches, please send all completed forms in together when you have collected one from all attending athletes and coaches.  We cannot accept forms individually from parents. Spectator forms must be turned in at registration in Orlando, these forms will be emailed to you closer to the event.

Very Important! Please read this entire dropdown before clicking on the link to register.

For the health and safety of everyone involved, in-person contact is being limited at the event; therefore, all forms must be sent in advance.

When registering, by accepting the “Terms and Conditions” above for the event, you are agreeing to adhere to the competition rules. Please see the “Required Forms” tab and be sure to scan/email all collected forms together as a team no later than 3 weeks prior to the event.

Please note:

  • Coaches and athletes must be listed on the team roster in order to register individually and may select housing OR commuter.
  • If you are registering any Spectators, you may select the housing option only. Spectators cannot register as commuters. If a spectator needs to order tickets, direct them to “Discounted Tickets” link on the registration page.  You will need to provide them with your team’s customer number.

Package Upgrades:

You may upgrade the ticket that is included in your package for the rates below. This can be noted in the “ADD ON” step of the registration process. Any extra tickets for family members must be purchased on the Discounted Tickets tab on this page.

  • The Walt Disney World Resort requires “Park Reservations” made in advance in order to attend the theme parks. You, as the contact person of your registration, will be responsible for making daily park reservations for everyone listed on your invoice. We strongly recommend that all friends and family (spectators) register on a separate invoice from the team. Anyone included on your invoice will be part of your “ticket order”. Ticket orders will be placed when your invoice is paid in full.
  • Once the order is placed, you will receive a ticket order number to use to assign your ticket types (3Day, 4Day, 5Day) to each person and make your park reservations.  Information on how to obtain your park reservations will be sent with your ticket order number.
  • No changes after ticket orders have been placed and ticket order numbers have been distributed.
  • Please note that parks may reach capacity so be sure to get your payment in early!

Team Cohorts:

A team’s cohort is the group that will travel through warm-up and down to the competition area. Included in this cohort is the team’s athletes, coaches, alternates, band members, mascots, etc. The team’s cohort may not exceed 50 people. The team’s cohort does not include friends and family.

Assign a Safety Champion:

Each team, regardless if you are staying on the hotel travel package or a commuter, will need to designate one person (other than the head coach) to be your Safety Champion on your registration. This person will need to be confirmed upon registration, over 18 years of age and willing to participate in additional safety training from the Walt Disney World Resort prior to the event. Each team/squad needs a separate Safety Champion. Some of the Safety Champion’s responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensuring the athletes, coaches and spectators of your team follow the health and safety requirements such as face coverings and physical distancing
  • Hotel Travel Package Only: If someone within your travel party experiences symptoms of COVID-19, receives a positive test and must quarantine – the Safety Champion must deliver food and aid to those in quarantine. The person/or their family who is having to quarantine is responsible for all expenses for those who are in quarantine.

Spectator Registration (Hotels)

You will need your Team’s “Registration Number” in order to proceed. Your coach can provide you with this number, be sure to enter the entire number and no spaces before it, for example:

The Walt Disney World Resort is requiring release waiver forms from anyone attending the event.  Everyone listed on your invoice must complete a release waiver. These forms must be signed and returned three weeks prior to the event. These forms will be emailed to you when they are available.

Please note:

  • Spectators cannot register as “commuters”, if you do not need hotel reservations, do not register through this link. Go back to the main registration page and register under “Discounted Tickets (Spectators).
  • If your son/daughter (athlete) is not registering with the team, you may register them here if they are commuting or if they need hotel reservations.

During the registration process, you will be asked to select which team’s performance you would like to attend.  Please be sure to select the one of the performer(s) that you are attending with.

Discounted Tickets (Spectators)

New This Year:

Disney requires “Park Reservations” made in advance in order to attend the theme parks. Spectators will be required to sign a release waiver form.  These forms will be emailed to you as soon as they are available.

Discounted Park Tickets will not be sold on-site at the event. All orders must be placed in advance no later than April 12, 2021.

  • You, as the contact person of your “ticket order”, will be responsible for making daily park reservations for everyone listed on your invoice. If you have multiple families ordering tickets, we suggest that each family order their own so that they can manage their park reservations. Ticket orders will be placed when your order is submitted and paid in full.
  • Once the order is placed, you will receive a ticket order number to use to assign your ticket types (3Day, 4Day, 5Day) to each person and make your park reservations.  Instructions on how to obtain your reservations will be sent with your ticket order number. No changes after ticket order numbers have been distributed.
  • Please note that parks may reach capacity so be sure to get your payment in early!

Make a Change to an Existing Registration

If you have already submitted a registration and need to make changes, you may request a change by signing back into your account and clicking on the “Request a Registration Change” request.

For Teams Only:

  • The Contact Person who originally registered/rostered the team may also make changes to the Roster by clicking on “Request a Roster Change”.
  • Changes are not confirmed until verified by Varsity Spirit.
  • Changes made after March 22, 2021 will result in a $50 change fee per change.

HOW-TO MAKE A CHANGE: 

  • Log into your myVarsity portal, scroll down the page and click on MY COMPETITION REGISTRATIONS
  • Then click the + Button
  • Then click on REGISTRATION DETAILS
  • Scroll down and select either REQUEST RESERVATION CHANGE or REQUEST ATTENDEE LIST CHANGE

Please allow 24-48 hours for confirmation on changes.
