2024 SUMMER CAMP THEME

For 75 summers, the United Spirit Association has set the “gold standard” for all things spirit, dance, and band.

Get READY for your season with cutting-edge curriculum the USA is known for…

SET your team up for success with top notch technical and leadership training from the USA staff…

and go for GOLD all year long by establishing a strong foundation this summer at USA camp.

From our first camp in 1950 to the present day, the USA remains Good as Gold…solid, shining, superior. We invite you to join us this summer to share in our continued tradition of greatness.

READY, SET, GOLD!

CHEER/MASCOT CAMPS

ALL GOLD EVERYTHING…

Gold Games – teams will have the opportunity to win gold coins throughout camp. Captains will be given pouches to collect and keep the gold coins their teams receive. The team with the most coins on the final day of camp will be given a special award.
Golden Hour – teams will have a full hour of 1:1 time with their Staff TeamMate to choose what they would like to work on.
Gold Standard Game Day – new class that will focus on sideline appropriate stunts, effective crowd leading tools and proper use of props to help teams achieve the Gold Standard on game day.

DANCE/SONG CAMPS

Gold Ribbon Award: teams will have the opportunity to win gold coins each day during their team building/unity hour at camp. When teams successfully complete the Olympic style relay games, goal setting in unity workshops, and team building activities, they will receive gold coins. At the final day of camp, if they have enough coins from their participation, then they will receive our 2024 Gold Ribbon at closing ceremonies.
Quarter Break/Sideline Routines: three quarter break routines will be offered – pom, hip hop and new in 2024, jazz! Teams will be able to utilize these three different short routines to entertain and shine as bright as GOLD in front of their crowd.
Gold Tier Offerings at Home Camps: Teams will be able to choose from the Gold Tier offerings at USA Dance/Song Home Camps in 2024. Teams will be able to choose from adding: quarter break routine/sideline, leadership session, performance halftime routine, team technique session, or custom choreography (Envision) for an additional amount. All options will be part of our Gold Tier of special add ons to complete their home camp experience!
Reach for Gold & Be An All American! New this season, dancers will have the option to go above and beyond to learn a new short stylized routine to audition for All American.
Glow Bright as Gold: At dance camps, teams will be asked to glow all out in their class colors for an unforgettable night of games, team building, and surprises! Who will be the TOP class this summer? Get ready to GLOW all out for a fun night with USA Dance! Class Colors: SENIORS class of 2025 – Pink / JUNIORS class of 2026 – Blue / SOPHOMORES class of 2027 – Green / FRESHMEN class of 2028 – Orange

DRUM MAJOR CAMPS

NEW Home Camp option!
Introduction of USA Drum Major Leadership Guide (both DM & BL)
- Guide will be in a book-like format and contain a “core curriculum” which lesson outlines for students to take home and utilize with their bands and campus communities to shape meaningful change
Redesigned Parade Curriculum
- To reflect and better align with the training and education approach for Peacocks American Competitions (CA only) & Varsity Performing Arts
Redesigned Leadership Curriculum
- Renewed emphasis on servant leadership and focus on band leadership, such as rehearsal strategies
- Incorporation of Game Day Curriculum which will be a multi-course series of sessions to educate students on how to lead a band during a Game Day event and generate stronger bonds of school spirit across campus communities

St. Jude Letters or addresses for St. Jude Letters. As a part of our NFHS Squad Credentialing program, each athlete should complete two St. Jude letters
Music device/portable speaker
Home routine for Showtime USA (Dance Camps – optional)
Disposable camera (Spirit Camps)
Spirit Raising Props: signs, poms, megaphones, flags, etc. for Game Day Classes & Evaluations (Spirit Camps)
Your school’s traditional fight song and/or a home routine (Spirit Camps – optional)
Dress up attire for the final night of camp! (Spirit Camp and Showtime Camps Only – See information for your specific camp type on myVarsity portal).

What to Wear

Comfortable, athletic attire and proper footwear for each day at camp. Many teams wear matching attire each day and bring uniforms for final day evaluation (recommended but not required). Your local Varsity Rep can assist you with affordable camp wear.

USA Spirit Rally Theme: GO FOR GOLD (Premier, Express, Elite, Your Way and Camp of Champs – UT, AZ, Song Premier)

- Olympians UNITE at the 2024 USA Summer Olympics! Dress up like an Olympic athlete, rep the U.S.A. or come in head-to-toe GOLD for a night of games, performances, and fun! On your marks, get set…GOLD!

CLASS COMPETITION

GLOW all out in your class color for an unforgettable night of games, performances, and surprises. Who will be the TOP class this summer? No one does final night of camp quite like USA!
