The UDA Traditional Overnight Camp Experience

Traditional Overnight camp offers the FULL UDA camp experience!  This is the best option for exposing athletes to all aspects of dance team.

Dance teams can participate in optional Home Routine Evaluations and bond through team building activities as well as Crazy Night! Each athlete will learn and be evaluated on 2 routines in a variety of levels and styles for A and B routines. Teams learn and are evaluated on a Performance Routine. Technical training includes 2 Team Technique Classes as well as our NEW class Power in Performance. Athletes will all participate in our two NEW game day classes to help better all aspects of their game day and our NEW Athlete Enrichment Classes that follow the five pillars of the NFHS.

At Traditional Overnight camp, dance teams can qualify for Nationals, individuals can qualify for All-American and Coaches can participate in Educational Classes offered by Varsity University.

UDA Team Leader
Each dance team is paired with a member of the UDA staff who will lead team-building activities, facilitate discussions, and serve as your guide throughout the camp experience.
Game Day Classes
UDA has two NEW game day classes to bring the spirit to your sidelines! Our first class is Chant Wars. Teams will leave camp with 5 sideline chants – more than ever before that match UCA. Athletes will get to learn and bond with their grade while battling to be the loudest in the Chant War! Our second new class is Drum Line Live. UDA will be offering 6 newly formatted sidelines that will be learned as a team and are made to work with any band music throughout your season. While learning choreography teams will also receive education on hitting the crowd, connecting sideline choreography, and reaction time to band music.
Home Routine Evaluation
An opportunity for teams to start their season strong by performing together and receiving constructive feedback from the UDA Staff. Dance Teams can also qualify for the National Dance Team Championship by participating in home routine
Team Building
Time is set aside each evening for teams to gather together with their team leader and complete activities to strengthen their team bonds
Scale Your Strengths
NEW Seminars designed to elevate athletes beyond technical performance by fostering confidence, leadership, and game day readiness. Athletes will engage in physical drills and mental strategies to strengthen their role in one of the five pillars of the NFHS Squad Credentialling roles.
Crazy Night!
Get ready to have some fun because Crazy Night is full of games and activities for dance teams to dress up and work together!
1 on 1 Coaching
New to UDA! Coaches choose a private session focus such as performance routine cleaning, technique, or fight song cleaning, to meet their team’s unique needs.
Team Technique Class
Grow as a team during team technique class by setting new goals and learn how to properly execute new and old technical skills.
Performance is a Privilege
A NEW class focused on performance quality and expressions specific to each routine style. Coaches can assign athletes individually to a style that they want to improve in. Styles include Jazz, Pom, Hip Hop. High Kick, and Game Day geared toward college prep.

Coaches' Education

Coaches' Meetings
Your Head Instructor will educate you on all things UDA, helping you lead your team to success both at camp and throughout the season. Daily meetings will walk you through the schedule and provide guidance to enhance your overall camp experience.

New this year, UDA is introducing the Varsity Dance Coaches Class—a two-part educational series designed to ensure coaches leave camp with valuable knowledge of their own. All coaches will receive an exclusive UDA Coaches’ Manual to use throughout the season.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
Continuing Education Unit credit is a nationally recognized measure of a sponsored activity through institutes, workshops and short courses. By attending UDA Camp, coaches have the opportunity to earn CEUs to further their professional career as a coach
