About CCD

CCD is not only one of the most recognizable names in cheerleading and dance competitions, Champion Cheer & Dance is a Legacy within the cheerleading and dance community, being passed down from coach to coach through the teaching of what founder Cathy Buckey originated and established over a quarter of a century ago. The legacy continues to be shared and passed on with each competition.

Cathy Buckey, Founder of Champion Cheer & Dance, started her cheerleading and dance legacy as Champion Cheerleading Camps, Inc. in 1979. After closing the camp chapter in Champions life, Champion Cheer & Dance dove head first into providing the absolute best Championships and Nationals in the industry. CCD provides:

Spectator Information

Admissions: :

  • We will not sell physical tickets at the door or take cash for admittance at any Varsity All Star competitions. Spectators purchasing tickets will need a valid email address and a credit card number. They will receive a digital ticket that can be scanned upon entry.

Parking: 

  • Parking is available near the convention center at various parking garages. We recommend booking parking in advance through SpotHero.To reserve your parking spot for the Baltimore Convention Center, visit the Baltimore Convention Center SpotHero Parking Page.

Venue Information: 

Please note the facility has restrictions on the following: 

  • Spectator Entrance is located at the Sharp St Lobby.
  • No outside food or drink is allowed, though concessions may be purchased inside the venue.
  • Clear Bag Policy
  • No Firearms
  • Priority Viewing will be available for spectators
  • Athletes are encouraged to bring their own water bottles to the event and throughout the warm-up process. There are water filling stations available throughout the venue.  Coaches, it may be helpful to bring an extra bag or tote with you into warm-ups to collect your team’s water bottles before they take the performance floor.

Concessions & Vendors:

  • Concessions will be available.
  • ASO will be selling event merchandise throughout the weekend.
  • Action Shots will be the event photographer.

Event Results:

  • Event results will be uploaded throughout the weekend on Varsity TV.

Photography/Media Policy: 

  • Varsity will allow recording on personal devices. No commercial recording (audio or visual) or commercial live streaming is allowed in the competition venue or other event-related venues (including but not limited to, hotels and restaurants) or on the grounds of any such venues (collectively, ‘Event Locations’).

Housing Information

This is a Housing Required Event.

For your convenience we have secured attendee blocks throughout the city with amazing rates specifically for Varsity All Star customers. Team Travel Source (TTS) has also successfully negotiated team friendly terms and conditions with each of our host hotels to take the worry and hassle out of booking hotel accommodations so that you can focus on your teams preparation and performance.  Booking through our housing partner TTS is required for all athletes, coaches and spectators attending this event. Please use the link below for next steps to secure your team housing for this exciting event.

The Varsity Cheer League

The Varsity Cheer League is the official points system for the sport of all star cheerleading. Teams are separated by D1 & D2 and placed by their age group, based on the points they earn throughout the regular season. Winners are named bother regionally and nationally and receive their share of $500k in cash and prizes. This event is worth 500 points.
