Due to health and safety precautions our summer training camp options have changed. Please contact your USA State Director (Cheer/Mascot) Tsutae Johnson (Tsutae.Johnson@Varsity.com) or your USA State Director (Song/Pom, Dance & Pep Flag) Nicole Cestone (NCestone@Varsity.com) for the updated list of summer training camps available.

Welcome to USA camp at UC Santa Barbara!

  • The campus, bordered on three sides by the Pacific Ocean, has miles of coastline, its own lagoon, and the rocky extension, Goleta Point, which is also known as “Campus Point”
  • The campus has numerous walking and bicycle paths across campus, around the lagoon and along the beach
  • Enjoy building skills and team bonding at this gorgeous location away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city
  • Students get a taste of the collegiate experience by staying in dorms and walking through campus to get to the teaching fields, while enjoying beautiful weather and the fresh ocean air
  • Santa Barbara’s downtown district features shopping, restaurants and cultural attractions like the Mission Santa Barbara

Location Tips

  • This would be an awesome opportunity to take team pictures with a beautiful and authentic background. Bring your beach attire and the whole team can lounge and relax right there at the beach after camp is over. What a great bonding moment for your team!
  • Since you’re right next to the ocean, remember to bring a jacket as it gets cool at night
  • Bring extra money for souvenirs from the USA camp store
