What athletes attending the Expo will get out of it:
The USA Collegiate Expo is the perfect chance to reach more than 10,000 High School Cheerleaders, Mascots and Songleaders who are competing and spectating at Nationals and are looking for colleges and universities with cheer and/or dance programs. There will be a USA Staff booth in the same area to provide information about USA Instructional staff opportunities for you or your athletes.
Why Colleges/Universities should attend and set up a booth at the Collegiate Expo:
The 2020 USA Collegiate Expo will take place during our USA Spirit High School Nationals and before the USA Collegiate Championships at the Anaheim Convention Center on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 10:00am-3:00pm. Set-up will begin at 9:30am until the start of the event at 10:00am and breakdown will happen from 3:00pm until 3:30pm.
Each exhibitor will receive a 6-foot long folding table to display their recruiting materials/tablecloths/handouts provided by the USA. Attendees are limited to table and no backdrops or additional banners are permitted due to space limitations.
We want to be respectful of everyone’s space and limit each table to a maximum of 3 representatives. Please no moving or shifting of the tables as the event layout has been pre-approved and laid out for optimal foot traffic and safety.
There will NOT be power outlets available, so any audio/video must be self powered and sound must be kept to a minimum to respect others in a shared space
Please plan on bringing any tryout clinic information, free giveaways, general college information such as registration dates for school, majors and minors offered, scholarship information, priority registration offered, information on the different teams you offer and even photos of your team at gameday or competition events. Any information you have about your program(s) so that the athletes and possibly their parents can make an informed decision about cheerleading/dancing in college.
May also be helpful to have a sign-in sheet to collect e-mail addresses to receive more information about tryouts or the school.
PROFESSIONALISM IS REQUIRED
Prior to collecting personal information from minors, it is important to provide a professional email. Making contact with possibly unsupervised minors will only be allowed through the use of an official school email. Please provide the contact email address to be used. As an adult, you are not authorized to give personal information (phone number or email) to attendees at the event. Contact emails collected from the event may only be used to share information about your college and/or college spirit team. We will provide disposable name tags, but we encourage you to bring your own name tag and business cards if possible.
Dress professionally, possibly wear a team or school logo polo, or team uniform.
You have the option to do an Absentee Information Packet (AIP) if you are unable to attend in the expo in person. Information should include contact information, tryout info and any other information about your team or school. AIP information must be received by February 10, 2020 and mailed to the following address:
USA Collegiate Expo / Amberlyn
5770 Warland Dr, Suite B
Cypress, CA, 90630
The USA waives the expo registration fee for teams competing at our 2020 CollegiateChampionships. Colleges/Universities wishing to register for the expo who are not competing must pay the $200 registration fee* (which includes two one-day passes to Saturday’s competition). Method: School check, money order or cashier’s check (payable to USA Collegiate Championships) or credit card (We no longer accept AMEX). Sending information for the Absentee Information Packet will be a $50 charge (paying for exposure).
The USA will promote the Collegiate Expo as a whole on all of our social media accounts (@USAcamps on Instagram & Twitter and United Spirit Association Page on Facebook).
Signage and event information has been added to the USA event homepages, the event coaches video and additional signage will be on display starting Thursday, February 13, 2020 through the event on February 15th.
If you would like us to promote your college’s team. Please e-mail (email@example.com) high-resolution photos of your team during game days or competitions and we can post them on our Instagram Story and create a highlight on our feed.
For added exposure, we recommend that you too post to your social media accounts to promote your presence at the USA Spirit Nationals and Collegiate Championships.
