Home Routines are evaluated by the UDA Staff, and will be awarded in placement of performance execution and showmanship. This typically includes coaches, choreographers and chaperones.\u00a0 The\u00a0<strong>Dance, Cheer Coach, STUNT Coach or Professional Membership<\/strong>\u00a0is acceptable.\u00a0 Membership is strongly recommended for all other coaches and team personnel that attend home camps, day camps and clinics.<\/p>\n<p>Varsity Spirit will cover the membership fee for all registered coaches and team personnel who attend a Varsity Spirit camp lasting two or more days. Coaches must complete their membership requirements before their camp.<\/p>\n<p>More information, along with a redemption code for 2023 summer camps and when the membership renewal \/ sign-up will open, will be provided in Spring 2023.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/usacheer.org\/membership\">Get Membership<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class='accordion-container ' data-accordion-id='_accordion_content69f2e35173b546_57645684' id=''><div class='accordion-header'><div class='wrapper'><h4 class='title'>UDA Camps FAQs<\/h4><div class='icon-close'><i class='fa fa-plus' aria-hidden='true'><\/i><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class='accordion-content'><div class='wrapper'><p>If you have a question that is not addressed below, give us a call at 1-800-DANCEUDA.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How do I register my team for UDA Summer Camp?<\/strong><br \/>\nRegistering your team for UDA Summer Camp is easy. \u00a0To find an overnight camp, you can use our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/connect.varsity.com\/campsearch?brand=UDA&amp;country=US\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">online camp search<\/a>. \u00a0It will pull up all of the locations and dates of overnight camps in your area. \u00a0You can also call your\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uda.varsity.com\/Rep-Finder\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UDA State Director<\/a>, and she can register your team for camp. \u00a0And you can always give the national office a call at 1-800-DANCEUDA.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When is the deadline to register for camp?\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nWe will take registrations as long as we have room available at the camps. However, there are some guidelines for Resort camps that are different. We suggest that teams register as soon as possible as we have many camps that fill up quickly!<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is an overnight camp? \u00a0And do you offer other types of camps?<br \/>\n<\/strong>An overnight camp is a camp where your team travels to a university and participates in our camp program with other teams. \u00a0The cost of an overnight camp includes instruction, most meals, and lodging. \u00a0We definitely offer other types of camps if your team does not want to stay on a college campus. \u00a0Learn about our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uda.varsity.com\/Camps\/Camp-Types\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">different types of camps<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>My team is attending an overnight camp for instruction only. I see that you have a 3-night sample schedule for overnight camps and also schedules for day camps. \u00a0Which one do I follow?<br \/>\n<\/strong>If your team is attending an overnight camp but plans to only stay during the day for instruction, you will follow the overnight sample schedule. \u00a0Day camps are camps that are usually held at a high school or community location, and everyone attending that camp returns home at night. \u00a0At overnight camps UDA provides the option of staying overnight or commuting each day for instruction only.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I originally registered 20 participants for camp, and now only 13 of them can attend. \u00a0What should I do?<\/strong><br \/>\nContact your\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uda.varsity.com\/Rep-Finder\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UDA State Director<\/a>\u00a0or the UDA National Office IMMEDIATELY! \u00a0Always keep UDA informed of any number changes you have. \u00a0We can then email or fax you an updated invoice reflecting your changes. There may be a cancellation fee, depending on when you make your changes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I pay online? \u00a0Or can I pay over the phone with a credit card?<\/strong><br \/>\nDefinitely! You can pay online by logging into your account and go to My Camp Registrations. From here click Invoice\/Payments then Credit Card. Or, just call 1-800-DANCEUDA to pay. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I pay my balance due when I arrive on the first day of camp?<\/strong><br \/>\nUDA highly suggests not turning in your payment at camp. \u00a0Our camp management travels from camp to camp all during the summer. \u00a0The BEST thing to do is to send all payments to our national office PRIOR to the start of camp or pay by credit card online, If you pay late, please take a copy of payment with you to camp.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uda.varsity.com\/About\/Contact-UDA\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">View our mailing address.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Do you accept Purchase Orders (PO&#8217;s)?<\/strong><br \/>\nUDA does accept purchase orders from schools. \u00a0However, we must have a hard copy (fax is ok) of the purchase order with the appropriate signatures (i.e. principal\/athletic director) in order for it to be valid. \u00a0 Please note that you will continue to receive emails, phone calls, and letters until the Purchase Order has been paid.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I just received an invoice showing a cancellation fee. \u00a0What is this for?<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you have a team member that decides not to attend camp their $100 deposit will be held as a cancellation fee. \u00a0This is not an extra $50 charge on top of your payment. \u00a0If your cancellation fee is larger, refer to the payment policy\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uda.varsity.com\/Camps\/Required-Forms\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I have a credit on my account. \u00a0How do I get that money back?<\/strong><br \/>\nYou must request your refund in writing. \u00a0Click Here for our Payment &amp; refund policies\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uda.varsity.com\/Camps\/Required-Forms\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can my team attend camp without an advisor?<\/strong><br \/>\nAn adult at least 21 years of age is required to attend the event in its entirety.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where can I find out details about my camp, i.e. dorms, facilities, directions?<\/strong><br \/>\nYou may visit your MY Camp Registrations page on line. Here you can click Event Paperwork and get all the information pertaining to your camp. Be sure to always check back, usually one week prior to camp is when all information is final. A final email will be sent to you one week prior to camp with all the pertinent information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do I mail my release and waiver forms in to your office or do I bring them with me to camp?<\/strong><br \/>\nNo, always turn your release and waiver forms in at registration on the first day of camp.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the schedule like for camp? \u00a0What time does it exactly start and when is it over?<\/strong><br \/>\nYou can\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uda.varsity.com\/Camps\/Camp-Types\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">view sample camp schedules<\/a>\u00a0on our site. \u00a0You will receive a more detailed schedule with exact times and locations when you arrive at check-in. \u00a0If times change any, it will be very minimal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Home Routines:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.varsity.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Home-Routine-Rules-2019.pdf\">Rules<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uda.s3.varsity.com.s3.amazonaws.com\/Camps\/UDA-Home-Routine-2015.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Evaluation Sheet<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Is my team required to wear matching outfits while at camp?<\/strong><br \/>\nYour team is not required to wear matching camp outfits. \u00a0However, many teams choose to wear matching camp outfits because it makes them feel more like a team. \u00a0It could also help you to easily pick them out of a crowd. \u00a0To purchase camp clothes, contact your\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uda.varsity.com\/Rep-Finder\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Varsity Spirit Fashion Representative<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Do coaches\/advisors\u00a0receive any material at camp?<\/b><br \/>\nYes! Each registered coach\/advisor will receive a tote bag, coach\/advisor manual, routine notebook, and one download code for the UDA Summer Camp \u00a0Music.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can individuals, who are not part of a team, attend your summer camps?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes! Individuals who are not a part of a team, are more than welcome to attend our summer camp. \u00a0However, it is important to note that many of our activities are team centered.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I have participants on my team that have severe food allergies. \u00a0What should I do and\/or who should I contact?<\/strong><br \/>\nYou will definitely want to list those allergies on the participant release and waiver form. \u00a0If the allergies are very severe, contact the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uda.varsity.com\/About\/Contact-UDA\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UDA National Office<\/a>\u00a0so that the University Relations Manager can be notified.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What awards are offered at UDA Camp?<\/strong><br \/>\nAt our overnight camps, the following awards are offered: \u00a0home routine placement trophies, superior trophies, team full-out award, team drill down trophy, team leadership award, 110% award, super spirit sticks, spirit sticks, UDA All-Americans, drill down queen, and coaches leadership award.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I was awarded UDA All-American at camp, but I did not receive a medal or special event brochure. \u00a0What should I do?<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you filled out your contact information at camp after the awards ceremony, a medal and brochure will be coming to you soon. \u00a0If not,\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:danceuda@varsityspirit.com\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">email us your request<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How do we qualify for NDTC?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Receiving a home routine trophy at UDA camp with 5 or more dancers in attendance.<\/p>\n<p>2. Receiving a Superior Trophy at UDA camp with 5 or more dancers in attendance.<\/p>\n<p>3.
