Year in School:
What made you decide to become a dancer?
I felt a connection with music that only some can. I wanted to use my tricks and technique to express emotion and story through my movement and rhythm with the music.
What do you like most about dance?
Not only do I love gaining strength and flexibility, I love that dance has become the one thing I can count on to change my entire day around. The environment of being around other dancers is always positive. As I grew up I faced struggles and change throughout my life; dance has always been the way I express myself and keep positivity in my life.

List any honors and awards you have received in dance and school:
Perry Pom MVP; Top First; High Point First; Double Platinum; GPA and Honors awards
Explain how you felt when you received these award/honors.
Winning Double Platinum and a dance trip to New York meant the world to me. I gained so much from the experience and felt as though all my hard work paid off. As for my academic awards, I was very proud to be recognized for my long hours of perseverance and studying. It taught me that I could accomplish anything I set my mind to.
Do you currently have any goals you have set for yourself in dance?
My goal is to gain as much education and training as I can from my wonderful coaches. I want to set a new standard for Perry Pom. Personally, going into my senior year, I want to perfect my technique so that I can audition for the Arizona Rattlers dance team and later the Arizona Cardinals team.
